While I've been working feverishly to get on the air with you guys I
neglected to see how really far away most of you are!  As the crow flies
I'm about 1089 miles from Larry's loop!

Guess I'd better not skimp on my antenna...

I have no idea what ground losses are like here.  How does one know?  Is
that something you can measure directly?  Is there a map showing typical
ground conditions across the country?  I'm in NE Oklahoma.
