I finally got around to looking at Larry's feed this evening and saw that
TMO was not present. Since had been true for about 16 hours, I decided to
check the exciter. A quick check on the 706MkII showed a WEAK signal. a trip
to the basement showed the exciter was performing as poorly as normal.
Nothing wrong there. Must be the amp.

Boots, Parka, 'took, gloves, flashlight...

On the way out to the loop, I encounter human footprints taking a different
path than mine. At the amp I find that the power is still connected but
someone had UNSCREWED THE "F" CONNECTOR that supplies the drive from the
exciter! Actually unscrewed the darn thing and dropped it into the snow.

Go figure!

So, now I am combing through my mail trying to find out who has been
complaining recently about TMO being off frequency or in funny modes. They
can expect to submit their boots for sole analysis...
