Mike,
I have a "make-shift" antenna up but don,t know if it will work as it is
between two metal towers (a loop 25ft vert. 50ft hor.) It receives well down
into the carribean, (it runs N & S )and into Nova Scotia. I don,t receive on
the computer but on a Kenwood TS-850S which hears quite well down at the
lower frequencies. I would like to see if I can hear a REGULAR CW signal
from you sometime as would my friend Jack K2JDD about 7 miles from me.
I will build up a matching network and try to feed a signal to it and see if
I can be heard. Will do it soon, have been very busy with holidays and a
sick XYL she.has had that flu like bug for over a month, just now better and
back to school.
Let me know if and when you put on a CW signal and Jack and I will listen
for it. I also have an 8' loop antenna with a "Mitch P" preamp on a rotator
to listen with and Jack has a 5 ft one with HB preamp and also a ferite bar
one.
When I get my signal on it will be on 177.9 khz or thereabouts.
Don
