I still don't have a current probe built for the vertical. I have to get
gong on the building before it warms up again. I do see my relative receive
signal inside the house is slightly higher. I can ask Lyle what the daily
average signal strength measures out to be up there. The loop is usually a
solid 6db stronger for Lyle.

Great! Ya finally made it to London - proving you must be in a null for the
loop. How much current variation on the vertical are you getting from near
freezing temps down to zero, as I see on the US weather map these days? I
used to measure about 2.5X back in my 'vertical period' (or was that my
artistic "blue period"? <G>), which would be about +8db.
