The loop was really E/W - so would not have favored
your signal - and there was exceptional North-East propagation
last night. Checked some NDB's - and strong Maritime and Quebec reference
beacons were all there.
I will use the big loop tonight - not as directional - and it
should help. 
But Lyle had no problem copying - so let's blame it on the
exceptionally sharp nodes on my octo-loop.
