I hope I'm not biting of more than I can chew ... but you only live once, 
and I just checked ... my homeowners insurance has been paid.

Peter, you mentioned that it will be interesting to see how the machanics 
of actually erecting this thing work out.  Yes, that will be "interesting" 
all right!  I certainly don't know yet ... I've never done anything like 
this.  But I have some ideas ... don't know if they'll work or not.

Lyle, you've mentioned the dacron rope before ... I'm unfamiliar with it.  
I've used (for nautical apps) polypro, sissel, nylon, hemp, and kevlar 
(Spectrum), but don't know anything about dacron.  I'll try to see if I 
can find a local dealer if you would recommend it over the weedeater line.

You both gave me some good suggestions I'll be employing.

The 4017 showed up today so my beacon is ready...
