Just be careful of creeps selling junk and saying it works perfect. Bring a
wire along to use for an antenna and listen for WWV on 10mc or some amateur
signals on all bands. If your close to home and know that your beacon signal
would make it to the hamfest place, listen for it as you know what it takes
to hear your own signal. I highly recommend bringing your cell phone with
and a few of the guys numbers with as they can tell you what is a good radio
for LF when you see one on a table. I did this when looking for an
oscilloscope a few months back and I called Lyle at home. He steered me away
from the junk and let me know what was a good model. I told him this is what
I am looking at, what do you think??? I bought a beautiful Tek storage scope
with his advises over the phone. Thanks again Lyle.
