Hmmm ... not exactly a consensus! :)  But it does look like you agree that 
there is some loss.  I was surprised that your concerns were with the 
gauge -- I thought you'd say something about the tinning.  Seems like I 
read something derogatory somewhere about tinned copper at rf?

But then, component leads are tinned...
