Just got active on Echo Link a free program which is unfortunately
only available to hams as it allows you to operate remote repeaters


you will be verified before being allowed to use it


It does make a nice hoot N hollers I net service that allows anyone
connected to be
listed when their puter is on line. You can talk to another one by
selecting their call
and connecting. thats assuming they are using Echo link and are tieing up
their phone line
by being connected. People with the BW can support up to 5 conf. calls at
the same time
just a thought for use by Lofers world over.

the audio quality is good and works well with my 26 K line

But is does tie up ur phone but being connected while net searching
doesn't slow things down much

just an idea
