Jay'n John:

>Made several measurements early this afternoon. At my location the
>difference is 9.2 dB. Will check again tomorrow morning before I head
>west for the week.

That's very close to the value the John is getting (actually John was
getting readings slightly below 9db today). I suppose this isn't too far off
what wound be expected. The area ratio is 5 in favor of the big loop and the
current ratio is about 2 in favor of the test loop. 5/2 = 2.5x or 8db. The
test loop is closer to the gnd and this could account for the 1 to 1.2db
short fall. I'll raise it up as high as possible and we'll see what happens.

Thanks for the efforts guys. Now if I could only get some response form the
skywave department.

Bill
