Started listening early evening on E-W loop at 6:30P, no sigs. At 7P
switch to NW-SE and see LEK starting to appear at 7:15P, By 7:40 LEK (3
modes) was good copy. Took a nap.
At 12:30A I'm back at screen, now LEK is blazing and NC is VG copy. I
take JPEG and BMP captures.
Noticed a signal just below NC and cannot ID it from the LowFER list of
beacons. It has the same visual strength as NC's and appears CW that
says like A, I, a longer string, and repeats. Can anyone ID it?? Note,
the same pattern was on Larry's JPEG file of 1-29, 11:38A, that I
printed off then. Larry was claiming a mega capture then and ID'd the
beacons, however, the trace under NC was not mentioned.
Further looking produced a dog boned RB (186.92, NW IL) using 3 sec,
fast mode. Still looking for BOB who is 100 miles S of me, nothing and
never have scene it.
Looked for BA (186.375, CW) in 10 sec mode and saw light trace at 1:30A
but not a positive ID. Will try again.
Finally, BRO (182.200) was good copy in 30 sec mode.
Called it a night.
At 7A, nothing left on the 300 screen.
