[Lowfer] A bit of a problem with trimmer caps

Yah, that reminds me... Last summer I looked over this telephone pole 
mounted can that had an amplifier inside. Saw warnings about relieving the 
pressure before opening.

I just pulled the final for the big loop and have it sitting on the top of 
the furnace to dry it out. Previous to this I re-ran the test where I 
connect the big loop to this amplifier with the power off. This time the 
current in the small loop >20ft away instantly dropped to 1/4 of its 
original value! Does that make it about a .75 coupling coefficient between 
loops? Next I connected the loop lead wires together (again, the big loop) 
rather than to the final. The current in the small loop returned to the 
original value. I'm banking on the reactance of the shorted loop being so 
large that it has no effect on the opposing loop (either in the loop/loop 
transformer coupling or in the radiation pattern.
