Why don't you try some capacitance across the offending contacts that are
doing the switching? It may reduce the turn-on/turn-off noise pulses. Just
like the old condenser on a points ignition.

With the oven and several burners going, I get a lot of short impulse noise
when the thermostats open and close. Am experimenting with applying the "-b"
blanker lightly to improve copy.

Yes, this is the normal transmitting setup, with the Kohler/Ashlock/Andrews
PA described on my web site out at the antenna. Readings are all normal, so
it's very close to 1 watt input.
