[Lowfer] Can I buy an "R"?

Allen submitted his wish list below for some code I am writing.

The code I write is all DOS based. I usually breadboard in perl then port to
C or C++ if I need speed. Being DOS based I have command line flags for
inputs and it will run nicely in the background.

My current "analysis" is simple. I am looking at a passband of suspect bins
verses nearby (but not too nearby) bins. If the signal in the suspect bins
is some threshold larger than the nearby (devoid of signal) bins then I
start looking to see if the threshold is violated for the time of a QRSS dit
or dah. I am working on the dead-banding now to handle small fades during an
element.

I am happy to include and additional features, options or analysis. Just
please submit the suggestions with a plain-language description of how it
should work. I am neither a scientist or programmer by trade. I just do this
for my fun.
