>A special thanks to Lyle and Kathie for hosting our small gathering. In
>Minnesota the welcomes are >warm if not the weather. Good to meet Bill and
>Mike for the first time. It was a lot of fun and it's >always nice to put
>faces to the names we read or hear.

I 'second' your comments, Bryce. It certainly WAS an enjoyable day for me,
too. Lyle and Kathie's farm was so much more than the pictures, I had
previously seen, could portray. To see the famous receiving loop, LEK
transmitting antenna, the receiving gear, etc, etc ........ not to mention
the non-radio feature like a horse, goats, geese, chickens, bald eagles,
snowmobiles (yah).

Thanks again Lyle. See you next week! <G>

PS: I arrived back at the motel at 11:00pm and turned on the weather
channel. Guess what city in the Boston area was at the top of the list for
snowfall? ......Yup, Andover at 19.5 inches! ... and better yet, the snow
coverage was well into the NH mountains. There was a message on the phone
from my wife saying that she had lost power for 2 hours but everything was
OK. I spoke with her this morning and the snow was to continue till tonight
with better than 2ft expected. The winds were up to 50mph and the initial
stages of the storm had sticky wet snow. Anyone copying WA today??
