I've been out of action for almost two weeks and off the List. Took my
wife to the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, for diagnostics.

I've got a lot of emails and List post from Nov. 22 to plow through and
catch up.

I had a ebay bid on and Tek 465 scope and lost that in the final
minutes -- not Web connected at the time.

While in Rochester (300 miles N), I had a Sony 2010 but was unable to
use it inside the hotel due to electrical noise and steel construction,
I guess. I was able to take it to a outdoors park and copied many NDBs,
though nary a LowFER. I was looking for Mike - nada. Even went to a
local RS and got a roll of hookup wire and strung it low in some park
trees - not much better. The wx was in the 30s so couldn't do much out
side for too long.

Wx here (N IL) is to be in 40s this weekend so I'll resume work on the
flattop (say, 80 pct done). Gee, dreaded January is almost here.
