For CW, anything is possible. It might make sense to keep the speed down a
bit -- maybe 10 wpm or so. Most CW copy is by ear, as the DSP software
doesn't offer much improvement over the ear/brain.

For QRSS, the standard speed is 3 seconds per dot. This allows a signal of
dubious stability to look OK on the screen, and combats the fast fading.
Some of the guys are sending more slowly, but it's tough to get complete
call signs during the fading.
