Gentlemen (and ladies if there are any as readers):

I have no particular interest in the "Big Coil" except as a source of #16
enamel insulated copper wire. If someone is willing to provide me shipping
costs (don't forget it is 31 pounds unboxed) and a couple thousand feet of
#16 copper (or the price of same) I would be happy to swap them the "Big
Coil". If you "roll your own" you will need at least as much copper wire.
Based upon the weight and the DC resistance I am estimating that it has
about 2500 feet of wire in the solenoid. At the moment it is residing safely
in Idaho and I have returned to Minnesota for a month of mosquito hunting
and visiting. Plenty of time for someone to work out a deal if that is what
they wish. I suggest that we go off reflector and not annoy others with
mundane matters like trades.
