I'd guess that about 1 out of every 5000 hams in the US have ever listened
for HiFERs. Not many more are even aware of HiFER operation. There is
somewhat more awareness of LowFERs because they've been around a lot longer,
and there have been articles in QST and other ham publications. But it's
still rare to find hams in any country who are interested in either LowFER
or HiFER stuff. It is, after all, a rather strange hobby :-)
