Hi,

The remaining few of you who do not yet believe I am a complete idiot will 
likely be convinced after reading this:

No, I'm not ignorant of the socio-economic (I've always wanted to say 
that!) conditions in Mexico, but there are countries in far worse shape 
than they and yet it seems to me there are hams and other radio 
enthusiasts in all corners of the globe.

So while there may not be as many hams per square inch as here, and even 
fewer equipped for narrowband reception, it seems there would be SOME.

So why don't we ever see any reception reports from there?  Or have there 
been some but before I joined this reflector?

Ok, after you finish laughing, I'd like to hear your thoughts on this.
