No screws, no glue.  The PVC joints were tight enough to hold together
while laying horizontally.  The windings keep enough tension on the
frame to make it fairly rigid.  It's been hanging from the rope all
winter withstanding two significant ice storms.  I did put a nail pin
into the top T joint which supports the weight.  I think it would be
impossible to build the hub using glue.  A close up of the windings can

The calibration was done by injecting a know signal into the HP while
tweaking the Spectrum Lab formulas.  Spec Lab levels track perfectly if
the audio input into the sound card is set properly.
