Lewis,
>I want to put up a xmit loop, I have plenty of room horizontal, but 50 >ft
>is all I can go vertical, does it do any good to go beyond the >vertical
>distance with the horiz. part. I mean I have unlimited horiz.
Would it do any good to go say 100 or 200 ft horiz.?
You're darn toot'n it would! Rule #1 states the loop area is nearly
everything. I think that you might find a practical limit somewhere in the
500ft wide by 50ft tall range, but I'm not sure. Will let you know as soon
as I overcome a certain obstacle to future large-scale looping -the code
exam. After this I just might run some experiments at <10uw, input power to
see how close to theory the wide loop performs.
Bill
God bless loops!
