So you did 15 miles with 1w or less??? 100w will work fine for the locals or
maybe an occasional longhaul opening. I suppose you could make the loop out
of 3/4th inch copper. I bet there would be a bit of current in a loop that
small with 100w driving it, but then I wouldn't want to imagine how much
voltage there would be on a mobile vertical on 136kc with the same power.

Is that a challenge? The nice thing about a loop (well one of them) is that
they don't need a ground system. I transmitted on my 6ft diam #14 RX loop a
while back, and based on the signal at 1.8 miles, and I think I predicted it
would get out to about 15 miles max. I suppose I could make a trunk mount
using the hitch ball as the base for the mast. The performance depends to a
big degree on the Q of the loop and the car body could destroy the Q. Easy
to check.
