It looks professional because he IS a professional! What I'm wondering is
how this thing can work if there are no connections to the VC and only a
choke on the lead to the motor <G>.

Actually Jay, that's a nifty solution. Thanks for sharing this idea(instead
of offering the product to the general market for $100). Where do I find the
gear motor? How about the film drive motor inside my broken $15 camera?

Bob, I just tried your power screwdriver idea and it twisted the shaft of my
$20 VC clean off!!  Har

Also, the leakage value for the mica capacitor is on my computer at work.
Can't recall what it was but will get back to you.
