Mike,

Glad to see you are back in business with the loop. We need to keep this 
loop/vertical battle going 24/7..... year long! Also need to meet these 
thunder storms head on. None of these whimpy shut-downs at the first sign of 
a cloud. (Other Mike <G>) If you have a spark plug (close gap, non-resistor) 
between the loop and a ground rod, that coupling transformer should be 
enough isolation to the final transistors, except for the case of a direct 
strike.

That's not much of a problem except for aesthetics. The enclosed area and 
the current in the wire are all that matters. BTW: Nice numbers for max 
height and height above ground! What's the current in the loop these days?
