Hello again Jackie: I guess I should explain, I mean very very slow cw, Qrss
60 takes 60 seconds to send a dit. These very slow speeds allow for very
small bandwidths which enhance the signal about 20 db or so.
Check out the european websites on 137 khz, or try to find an article on
QRSS.
Also signals are so weak that I myself use a 15 turn Six foot Square
loop

Thanks very much... glad I joined this list. Thank goodness I can copy slow
CW (hehe). I
have been listing to longwave NDB's as well as beacons on the 10 meter ham
band, in fact I got into the
whole beacon/longwave thing as a result of trying to find beacons that
transmitted CW at 10 WPM
so I could keep up my copying practice. Now, there is this whole other world
below 160 meters and I
can't wait to hear it.
Thanks!
