Good thinking out of the box, John. Now that gave me a pause: Q-Q-QRS of
the power grid. Let's see, my lights are on now [dash], so what may be
their message? "On," good you pay; "Off," bad, company loses. Isn't that
thoughtful.

You must understand the tradeoffs, here. Since the power companies now
realize that Power Line Carrier (PLC) signalling will be useless once
amateurs are allowed access to the 136 kHz band, they have changed over
to
very slow CW by keying your power on and off.

I can only hope that your whining doesn't cost us the 136 kHz band!
