[Lowfer] L-400B Active Antenna installation question???

Can an active whip antenna be installed in the woods and hear anything??? I
have 70 or so foot oak trees here that totally block out the sky view. There
aren't any branches from the ground up to about 20 or 30 feet, above that it
is thick. I know my Natural Radio hears next to nothing when I walk under
these trees, but I wonder if my LF Engineering antenna would work under this
blanket of trees.
