Hi Mike,
  Tnx for reply and info on HMY.  I thought the aeronautical beacons were all 
below about 450?  It's not in the AirNav database.  I wonder if there is a 
better databae ssomewhere that I can access?  Construction projects: Seems 
like I could probably use conventional techniques and parts (most in my junk 
box) to get down around to 500 KHz.  After studying the Handbook LC constants 
for 179 KHz, it looks like a challenge!  I'm a retired high school English 
teacher without a technical background so maybe I'll learn something!

Re HMY, it's an aeronautical beacon at Lexington, OK.  I have it as 512 khz.
