Oops! Bryce has pics of two LF ants., old and new. After posting I also
viewed the new one: a 42-foot mono-pole w/ Al pipe top hat. This one has
a base loading coil. Several pics show lots of construction detail.
Super looking 100-turn, 15 inch loading coil wound on plywood and PVC
tubes. It's practically a cookbook description of a LowFER vertical.
Nice ant. work, Bryce, swell pics too.
Notes: I'll keep in mind his use of fiberglass rods as ant. pole
insulators. Although he says he uses industrial level "pull offs" that
may have seen another life on a power line, those that the home/farm
stores sell for road markers ( about 3/8 in.) may also be of use if one
could tie guy line into them. And let's not forget that poly weed line
for guys.
I presently use short PVC pipe for dipole ant insulators.
