[Lowfer] [Lowfer]LEK,WE,RM and BRO in Winnipeg

Hi all: 
        Been watching and listening for about a month now. So far I have
seen and heard LEK (281 miles), seen WE (356 miles) and seen RM and BRO (316
miles) and some sort of thing that looked like part of WA. Using a 6 foot
loop in my attic 25+ feet above the ground and a TS450 sat , ARGO and
Spectran software. Have also captured LEK on my MFJ vertical dipole.
    Have noticed some interesting things, LEK is visible all the time,
signal seems to peak in the late morning and almost disappears around
sunset. Signal gradually becomes stronger toward midnight. LEK is quite
strong on the new frequency. WE when it was on was more variable strong
captures in the late morning but not visible at night. Same for RM and BRO,
can anyone tell me what kind of antenna RM uses. 
 
    Mike the vertical is definitely worth a try and would give me a chance
to do a direct comparison on a groundwave signal, it's my theory that at
these distances the signal arrives by a combination of Groundwave and
Skywave which explain the large variation in Lyle's signal. 
 
    Would also like to comment on the Guided Wave article, agree with the
group, more geared toward VLF. As far as I know LF wavelengths are to short
to propagate in a Guided Mode. I also find the Adcock article a little
pessimistic on signal levels, Watts findings were a little more in line with
observation
    Watts findings:
        1, First Skywave mode M1 = Groundwave at 300 miles  signal
attenuation -80db
        2, Skywave M1 1000 miles -85 db
        3, Skywave M1 1500 miles -97db
        4, Second Skywave mode M2 = Groundwave at 700 miles
        5, First Skywave mode M1 = Second Skywave mode at 1700 miles
