I am totally rebuilding everything here and will not be on the air for a few
weeks. I have most of the parts in stock to build up the new exciter and
final amps. I will be building an Ashlock amp and a TAG amp and I already
have a LEK amp. I have to build another exciter to drive the TAG amp with a
lower level signal. I am also working on an east/west loop. The tuner box
will be rebuilt with different caps. I will have some test signals on from
time to time as I need to establish baseline measurements with the original
tuner box and final to see the gains that I will achieve. There is also the
possibility that there will be a "WE" ID on the N/S loop and a "dash space
dash" QRSS signal on an E/W loop. I will also have the capability to send
DEX style signals and DFCW when all is said and done. The hardware is here
for that one; I just need the time to build it. Later this winter, I will be
able to QSY anywhere in the band at .1hz steps by using the HP as an
exciter. I do have the flattop vertical in the air and all the parts to
build a DEX style coil/variometer. If anyone thinks it would be worth the
effort to try the vertical with all my trees, let me know and I can build
the coil and setup a final out there. Maybe the vertical can send a sawtooth
signal aka DEX style.
