LEK is now sending QRSS30 and 12 WPM CW. The keying scheme is not very
elegant -- my QRSS30 identifier and BASIC Stamp weather station interface
are simply diode ORed into the transmitter keying line. Whenever the QRSS30
keyer line is not active, the 12 WPM ID, temperature and wind information
are present. Listening on the speaker, it sounds like the CW signal is being
interrupted by a loud "tuner upper". On the Argo screen, the 12 WPM stuff
looks like broadband noise (10 Hz is broadband by QRSS standards), and is
only visible if the signal is really strong.
This mode would really mess up reception of the 185.3 gang for local
listeners, so I've moved LEK off by itself to 184.7005 kHz.
