I hate to complain, but lately the "signal to noise" ratio of this list
has become pretty poor. Lots of one and two line postings that
are largely a response to another person's humor.

While certainly this is our hobby, and meant to be fun, it makes
it hard on the rest of us who have to sort through this stuff. Like
many here, I subscribe to lots of lists, and get tons of e-mail
daily. Using the "delete" button is no problem, but it would be
helpful if some of the humor could be conducted via personal
e-mail rather than posted to the entire list.
