Lewis:
Looking at the RJELOOP program of G4FGQ - and entering the values you have
given show that for a square loop, made of RG8U, and sides of 8 ft, you
would require 0.071 uFd for resonance at 185 kHz.
For my "just-installed" 100 ft loop made of RG58U, I needed 0.0197 uFd for
resonance at 185 kHz, and I was within 100 pf of the value that the G4FGQ
program calculated ! !
My first loop was a 6 ft diameter "1/2 " hardline coax.... but open at the
