You would have to figure the Rac total for the loop based on your loop
current (assuming 1w input) Rac total = 1/I^2. You might see an Rac for a
50ft lower run of 2" pipe of 0.1 ohms which I think would reduce the total
Rac by almost 30%. This would give you a 15% signal improvement so it's not
that great, considering the cost. The RG-8 route would double that gain.

Do you mean it's 45deg to the horizontal? Can you make up a drawing of this
in MS Word and send it?

The most important parameter of these TX loops is the enclosed area. The
received signal is proportional to this. The shape does not have to be a
perfect rectangle but all the sides of the loop should form a reasonably
good vertical plane. If you are 45deg off this plane you are wasting some
signal.
