Do you have a signal generator there that goes to 136k? My Wavetek 110 fo=
r example generates about a watt of power (7V rms into 50 ohms). It would=
 require a 3-5mh loading coil and a ~300pf capacitor for the HV generator=

Mike R: Can you run your test on the wire for 1500v breakdown at 136k? If
so, how about testing at room temperature, then at approx 120F? I can do
this, but not right away.

That's what everyone said about placing the same type of wire on the tops=
 of
trees at the 1W level. Kinda glad I didn't pay attention! <G>  I'll see w=
hat
the leakage current is to ground for my pipe loop when I place 1500 volts=
 on
it. The Insulation on the wire may not be needed.
