Probably this 3db is not realized at higher frequencies where the ground =
is electrically farther away and the ground behaves less like a good cond=
ucting surface for the wave. And a lot of TX loop experimentation begun i=
n the mid '80s (in fact, pretty much the ORIGINAL loop experimentation) h=
as been in the HF portion of the spectrum, Ted Hart's work, for example. =
He claims 3 db in one of his articles when a ground screen is added. The =
screen must not be needed at LF.
