PS: I installed a nail yesterday at 20ft above ground, where the tree 
divides into two main limbs (not that easy to install a nail at the 2/3rds 
point!). The signal and S/N was much lower than what I see at my std 
location, which has about 12ft of bare wire looped over the top of two limbs 
at about 50 ft. I will measure the AC resistance between the the nail at 20 
ft and another nail at ground level to get an idea what the total tree 
resistance looks like. This number will be useful in determining losses for 
TX verticals. IE: for guys that should really be using loops. ........
