Approximately 45 foot vertical, with three 60 foot flat-top
sections, extending East, West and North. At the base is a
"DEX" type loading coil (I will try and borrow a digital camera and
take a shot ). The coil is 2.2 mH..... Q = 350. I have a variometer
which allows tuning between 2 - 3 mH.
I connected everything up yesterday afternoon, and varied the
variometer ( what else ?) and found it tuned from 148 - 175 kHz.
I left it on 175 kHz overnight - and monitored 185.3 kHz.
Close enough to give good results on NC - much earlier than
normal - and surprisingly noise free reception !

I have several variometer coils made up, and will continue testing.
