Great captures, Mitch! The multi-tone Hellschreiber (MT-Hell) mode is not as
effective for weak signal work as QRSS30, because the "dots" (literally) are
only about 8 seconds long. But when it does come through, the signal is
distinctive. My new ZL1BPU exciter is driving the same old
complementary-pair final that has been running for the past few years. I
have the sine-wave output level of the exciter set to 4 volts p-p. The
exciter will deliver considerably more than that, but the transmitter output
stays constant with any drive level greater than about 3 volts p-p.
LEK will probably be off the air for the next two or three nights to do some
listening, now that my noise problems have been fixed.
Thanks, Mitch.
