[Lowfer] The culprit....... Who is USA

Folks,

I am your culprit.  I confess and apologize for and trouble this may have
caused.

I am located in Harwinton  Northwest CT about 3 miles from VD.  I know, hard
to believe when you look at the signal strength difference.

The antenna here is a 50X50 Ashlockian loop with a Rusgrovian twist.  In
other words it is a 50X50(notice how I cleverly forgot to include the units)
Loop and it is configuired as a diamond.  This allows the use of but 1 high
mount in this case a tree limb at approx 70 feet.  The antenna is orientated
NE/SW.  The loading capacitance is 6500 PF which seems a little low but who
knows.

The antenna is made of #12 wire at this time and I will be progressing to
several other wire/cable experiments as time permits.

The antenna is located about 300 feet awy from the house in a densely wooded
area that is all swamp maples.  It is alway wet back there.  So much for a
low loss ground.  Perhaps as we get a good freeze the ground will become
less lossy as it turns to ice.  We shall have to wait and see.

There is a mismash of 3 types of coax feeding the thing, some is 75 Ohms and
some is 50 Ohms.

The next step( today or tomorrow morn) is get 1 continous piece of 50 Ohms
cable feeding the antenna.  The amp I am using is a Victor Delta LF1W
prototype beta version .003 revision 1.66 upgrade 6.25. engineering sample.

So there it is.  I am sure that I have forgotten something

Time to go warm up the soldering iron and get rid of all the clip leads in
the antenna system.
