[Lowfer] Rx Loops

Hello All: Just a question, Wednesday night I rebuilt my loop antenna, went
to 13 turns on a six foot frame, checked my reception and lost Lyle, tuned
to loop on a very weak NDB 209 khz  still no Lyle, went back to a 7 turn
shielded loop and there's Lyle, my question is, why??
    Also have yet to see anything identifiable on argo listen/watch
regularly on 185.300, again why?
