Yep, I already have the big doorknob caps for the fixed portion. Bill says
that the variable cap will only have 1/2a running through it anyhow. So I
should be fine with one of my air variables with some of the suggested brush
mods to eliminate the losses there. I shall try to convince the XYL to buy
me a nice vacuum variable for Christmas. There have definitely been some
ideas today on this cap building. Thanks to all of you guys for your great
suggestions.

Ralph is correct. The Spark rig ran low power driven by an ignition
transformer
