This is getting to be my energizer for the day!

I want to announce that WA will be down for at least an hour this afternoon 
to allow the replacement of the RG-8 loop wire with the 1/2" copper pipe. 
All of the sections, 200ft worth, are soldered together and it's currently 
laying on the ground in the woods as a 200ft black snake. This time I 
inserted 9" long wood dowels at each joint to improve on the rigidity. There 
should be about a 2db improvement in signal strength over the RG-8 loop. 
I'll record the BEFORE and AFTER loop current and report back. The number of 
primary turns on the stepdown transformer will have to be increased to 
maintain a 1W input power due to almost halving of the loop Rac.
