[Lowfer] 73 kHz Test

Hello all,

I just left Argo running and got the characters AQC which were repeated
all the time.

Reception was just ok on a very short ferrite antenna of about 20 cm
long from Grahn Spezialantennen.

QRG was right here, just 0.07 Hz low. Used the Time-station DCF here at
77.5 kHz to calibrate (after calibrating the soundcard).

So perhaps John you received the signal of G3AQC after all!.

Yes the Distance to me is not quite far hi, so hope to build kind of big
ferrite antenna or some loop soon to get some stronger signals.
(have no TX antenna yet).

Was nice to see that such a small antenna picked up the signal and was a
nice test for my homebuilt LF to 2 Mtr Transceiver (a very long during
modified project of pa0ssb hi).

By the way, the program Argo crashed (under WXP) in the middle of the
night here after running about 4 hours. Have seen some crashes before
under WXP and will test it under W2K.

73 de Paul, pa0ocd

I saw nothing identifiable last night in the 72.400 - 72.401 range.
There
was a weak signal around 72.4009, but I doubt if it was G3AQC.
