Not sure about Canada, but AM broadcast in the U.S. has to be within 20 Hz.
Most of the "big time" stations are closer than that.

The tolerances are much looser for aero beacons. They aren't of much use.

It should show a central line with sidebands from the amplitude keying. The
frequency of the center line should be close to your BFO offset. What do you
see?
