Now watch the oscillator will get weird because the crystal's load changed.
How about a multi-turn pot and a tuning diode??? That should be able to QSY
all over the place (VXO).

Haven't had the receiver on for some time. I'll warm it up. I don't even
have a working antenna in the air. Will do that tomorrow.

The trimmer in series with the xtal is way too sensitive to adjust to .1 Hz.
Need to make a modification there. According to my freq counter WA is .2Hz
to .3Hz higher than it was before the bewitching hour. How does it look?
Can't wait to see a record of the frequency (~) while I was making this
change!
