I finally got my kludge/jury rig QRSS30 keying system up.
For those of you with captures (Mitch? Larry?) the sequence started at 2:25
AM EST this morning (Friday).
The coding is really off the wall but it seems to work. The display looks
readable on argo in QRSS30.
Here is the weighting. Please, complaints->/dev/null. I did this off the top
of my head. But is anyone wants to SUGGEST better weighting, I'm all ears.
Dots are 30 seconds
Inter-element spaces are 30 seconds
Dashes are 90 seconds
Dead space between the end of one sequence and the start of the next is 120
seconds.
The signal is not as clean as I would like. By ear I can hear bursts of
"static" which sounds a lot like either a cat being thrown against a wall
or, no, that is what it sounds like.
I am hoping that it is the rain getting into the variable cap. Not that this
is a good thing but at least it is easily fixed.
Off to bed.
Did I tell everyone how much I appreciated the effort tonight?
Mike
