Bill I may be all wet but I wonder if the problem that Jason is talking
about is a loop that is horizontal to the ground which would not work as
a tx antenna. But would work on rx as a wet noodle.

The textbooks are full of this negative TX loop-speak. I Began using TX
loops on 185k four years ago and was so impressed by the performance
that I have spent a huge percentage of my free hours promoting their use
- particularly for most of us, having less than an ideal backyard
environment for a good vertical. Finally, this year it looks like the
number of active Lowfers in the US using TX loops could outnumber those
with verticals!
If you would like, I'll send you my first TX loop construction article
and put your name on the list for the follow-up. TX loops are very easy
to install, easy to maintain, hold up under extreme weather..........
and really perform!
